In order to avoid any unpleasant situations, we would like to draw your attention the recent measures (Valid from April 26th, 2018) that have been approved and are already in effect by the Greek ministry of transportation regarding driving documentation required.
Accepted driving licenses (which must be held for at least one year and is of “the new credit card type”) as per the updated law in Greece:
In case driver’s national driving license (which must be held for at least one year) does not match any of the above requirements, a valid International driving license (IDL) along with the National driving license are required. (IDL can be even one day old!)
Important notice: Driving in Greece without this necessary documentation will result a violation traffic fine of €1.000 for the renter/driver and €1.000 for the rental agency.
3 days. After the 72nd rental hour, an additional day will be charged.
Due the Greek law, all Auto Trust vehicles are insured against liability to third parties. This insurance is included in our rates
Our rates include C.D.W. (Collision Damage Waiver) insurance with relevant amount per category.

500 € for categories: C / D (Except from D2) / E
700 € for categories: D2, F-DIESEL, F2-DIESEL, G, G1
900 € for categories: F1-DIESEL / F4-DIESEL / G2-DIESEL
For rental period more than 15 days, renters are able to purchase an additional insurance to waive the above deductible amount reliability by paying an additional daily fee. The daily fee is depending on the length of the rental period and the selected category.
Loss or damages of vehicle parts or accessories listed below will be debited directly to the customer account:
Auto Trust is not responsible for any of the below and customer will be debiting for all expenses:
Any damages to the tires, the wheels and underneath parts of the car are not covered by any insurance policy and are the responsibility of the renter.
Auto Trust in any case, is not obligated to replace a flat tire or damages in music devices (radio, CD/mp3 player, etc.)
Auto Trust will not refund any phone calls, taxi or hotel costs.
Auto Trust will not be held responsible for anyone driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, causing willful damage, off road driving, driving without care and attention or damages caused by negligence and traffic violations.
Any unnoticed accident or damage to the vehicle may be interpreted as negligence. (For example, refueling with a wrong type of fuel) This may result in a charge to the client.
The client will accept direct responsibility in respect of such claims.
* Damages to car’s locks and Windshield / Windows will be covered only if the optional F.D.W insurance is purchased.
This insurance is included on our rates and is subject to the deductible amount mentioned previously per category. Please note that Theft Protection (T.P.) is not valid in case of driver’s negligence.
A 24% VAT is included in all rates.
It’s strictly NOT allowed to cross the Greek borders with an Auto Trust vehicle.
Our rates include free and preauthorized permission to ferry the car to all Greek Islands.
Athens International Airport fee included on our rates.
Additional drivers can be added without any additional charges as long as they fulfill all requirements mentioned above
Deposit is fully refundable in case of cancellation up to 7 to 15 days prior to your arrival date depending on the category and our written quote. If the cancellation date is less than 7 to 15 days prior to your arrival, the deposit is not refundable.
Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers that Auto Trust provides are manufactured with the signature of MLS (www.mls.gr)
MLS is the leading company in Greece for GPS systems and technology accessories. Furthermore, all our units have the latest available maps from their website and updated Multi-language firmware version.
However, any malfunctions may occur with the rented devices is out of Auto Trust hands, issues such as: weak signal, bad synchronization with the satellites, “new road instructions not updated” or latency on the real time car positioning which are caused due to bad pairing of the receiver and the satellite.
It is also understood that GPS devices are not guides to the safety of the roads in Greece.
